L’occitane case
The server [email protected] responded with error 5.1.10 which means that the latter accepted the email then rejected it because the recipient was not found. Which also explains why the email was sent without it being bounced to other persons at the same company & with the same email pattern.
When the server is ACCEPT ALL / CATCH ALL
The mail server could:
- accept the email and deliver it to the recipient
- directly reject the email, in this case gmail will send an error
- accept it, and then reject it & in this case the recipients mail server will send an error
