The process aims at getting you from "I want to create a company" to a post-product-market-fit company, defined as :

• Having a solid team and culture in place (typically 3 to 5 people total) ;
• Having a product that is live in several different factories, delivers value and is being paid for ;
• Having recurring revenue in the waters of 20 to 50K MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue) ;
• Having a solid repeatable sales strategy + machine that can somewhat predictably execute new sales ;
• Having an organization set in place (best in class startup-wise) ;
• Having financial future clearly panned out, whether a fundraising in progress or a decision to bootstrap the company.

This process typically takes around 9 to 12 months, with an internal high at 19 months and all-time low at 7 months.

There are main phases in the process :

We start with an internal research phase at OSS. During this phase, we explore Spaces & ideas and gauge market's interest, gather early data and conduct field user research. During this phase, founders are meeting with us once a week to follow up on progress and decide on next steps.

Phase 1: Discover & Validate the Right Vision is a deeply iterative phase during which we test the concept of the company, mockup prototypes and collect feedback on how to go forward on all fronts. Pre-product phase goes anywhere from 4 weeks to 8 weeks. During this phase, we also onboard the founders and visit a lot of factories along with basic training on all topics re:founders. This phase ends when 2 or 3 clients are onboarded for what will be the product.

Phase 2: Build & Close first Customers is the phase where we build the product using technology and design.

Phase 3 - Go To Market Phase is the phase where we sell it to numerous companies and setup the sales machine.
